IBM Lotus sametime 7.5.1 client setup - icons

You can create your own community icons to differentiate users. Here's an example:

Here on the right, my id on stdemo3.dfw.ibm.com shows a '3' behind the online indicator. My id on stdemo3.dfw.ibm.com shows a '4'. And last, my primary community shows the original sametime icon behind the green 'online' box. This makes it easy to differentiate which of your contacts is on which Sametime community.

 

Several iconts are available for you to download and use as needed. Download a zip file containing several community icons. You can also create your own custom 16x16 icon. A PNG file saved with a transparent background works best

Now to use them, unzip them and then go into "manage communities":

1. Select the community you want to modify (see the red arrow below).
2. Go to the 'icon' tab.
3. Use the 'add icon' button (see the blue arrow below) and select the PNG file you saved or created above.
4. And last, select the icon you want to use. It should show up under 'selected icon'.
